Robert Wannomae

Sales Manager

In 2002, Robert started as a sales person with an emphasis on the Japanese market as he speaks fluent proper and informal Japanese. He is currently the senior sales person and oversees the daily inventory and is considered the “go to” person for any questions within the sales department. He has a keen knowledge on both the frozen and fresh products and works diligently with the food service and retail markets.

Robert was born in Japan and moved to Hawaii when he was in kindergarten for one year. His family returned to Japan then Robert took a long journey to North Dakota during his junior high years. He returned to Japan then came back to Hawaii once again during his sophomore year at Kailua High School. After graduating, he travelled back to Japan, worked there for six years then finally moved back to Hawaii and has been here since.

Prior to being employed at TFH, Robert oversaw the “Banana Patch” off of Likelike Highway which consists of twelve acres. It was a one man operation but Robert truly enjoyed farming and working the land.

He is married to Michiko and has three children.


Michael Imada

Sales Manager – Food Service Division

Chef Imada began his employment with Tropic Fish Hawaii in May 2013.

He has an extensive background in the food and beverage industry and brings this expertise and experience to his new position.

Michael was previously the Chef de Cuisine for Japengo at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Resort & Spa, the Chef de Cuisine for The Colony (Hyatt’s former steak and seafood restaurant) and the Banquet Chef for the hotel during 14 years with the company.

He has also held chef positions at numerous restaurants around Honolulu to include Hanatei Bistro, Hawaii Convention Center, Café Splash and Queen’s Beach Restaurant to name a few.

A resident of Oahu his entire life, he also served as a Chef Instructor for Gourmet Cooking Hawaii.

In his free time, his leisurely activities include working in the yard, doing home repair projects, dining out with friends and most of all…traveling to Asia!

His educational background includes graduating from Kaiser High School and the Culinary Institute of the Pacific with degrees in both Culinary Arts and Patisserie.

Michael is more than a sales manager. His background equips him with a unique asset which is his ability to provide on-site food service consultation about seafood. Chefs can utilize his guidance to enhance their menu and recipes and directly improve their food cost with the products from Tropic Fish Hawaii.


Terry Togashi

Terry Togashi

Sales Representative - Food Service Division

Terry’s background is a perfect fit as a sales representative.  His prior experience includes a Fleet Service Operator at AAA Hawaii where he assisted customers with vehicle issues. This position was very customer service driven as it was surveyed and scrutinized by the corporate headquarters. He also served as the Purchasing Agent at the Hawaii Prince Hotel in which he learned the importance of receiving product on a timely base, handling perishable items and meeting deadlines.  He was also employed by Fedex for ten years and handled delivery of numerous items including seafood. Working daily with  demanding customers instilled Terry with the importance of excellent customer service and delivering the product in a timely manner.

Terry was born in Hawaii and grew up in Kaneohe. He spent half of his life in California and attended the San Jose State University.

In his rare but spare time, he is an avid golfer and a sports enthusiast as he declares the San Francisco 49’ers, San Francisco Giants and San Jose Sharks (hockey) his favorite teams.

He recently got engaged to Yumi Takamura.


Eddie Mizuno

EDDIE M. MIZUNO

Culinary Business Development Manager

In January 2014, Edwin M. Mizuno joined the Tropic Fish Hawaii team as the Culinary Business Development Manager, Food Service Division. Eddie has a very interesting and extensive background in the culinary industry. His previous positions included Chef de Cuisine at the Canoe House at the Mauna Lani Bay & Bungalows, Chef de Cuisine at the Trump International Hotel and Tower in Waikiki and Executive Chef at the Hawaii Prince Hotel in Honolulu. He spent eight years on Kauai as the Executive Sous Chef at the Sheraton Kauai Resort.

He is fluent in Japanese and lived in Japan for two years where he learned Japanese cuisine. He worked in Tokyo and at a sushi bar in popular Hakone which is strongly dominated by the tourist industry and noted for its hot springs (onsen) resorts.

Eddie made the change from kitchen to a sales position to venture into a new phase in his life and experience the other side of being a sales person. He has gained the appreciation of a sales person who provides excellent service, always follows up, “shows face” frequently, offers quality product and fair pricing.

As a chef, he was always too busy to spend time with sales representatives and he now realizes their importance in assisting a chef to perform their job more efficiently. Eddie is married and has a son who is a sophomore in high school.


Chad Yamasaki

CHAD YAMASAKI

Sales Representative - Tropic Fish Hawaii LLC

Chad graduated from Moanalua High School and the University of Hawaii - Hilo where he studied agriculture. When he is not working, he enjoys sports such as golfing and has an interest in aquaponics.

He previously worked as several restaurants in Honolulu such as Ruth's Chris Steak House and the Pearl Country Club.

Chad enjoys working at Tropic Fish Hawaii as he has a personal passion for seafood and enjoys interacting and servicing his customers offering the best quality products.


Daryl Yamaguchi

Daryl Yamaguchi

General Manager

Before coming to Tropic Fish Hawaii, Daryl was the General Manager for Pacific Courier Inc. PCI is a cash-in transit company that primarily provides armored and non-armored courier, vault and ATM services for many of the local banks throughout the state of Hawaii. Most recently, his focus there had been to develop the leadership team and guide the strategic organizational infrastructure.

"The process and investment in developing strong leaders is a critical component for any business to compete, grow and flourish. We will make leadership development one of our priorities. While we continue building our leadership team, we will be definitely looking at ways to improve on methods and practices," stated Yamaguchi.

In addition to his experience at PCI, he has nearly 30 years of business ownership experience as owner and operator of a natural grocery, food service, and production business as well as a wholesale/distribution, boutique specialty-type Hawaiian "omiyage" business.

Daryl is married with two energetic sons.

Fresh Product Inventory

As the Fresh Product Inventory Manager, Kellie must often quickly respond to requests from the sales team who receive inquiries from their clients. Customers often ask for new seafood items to meet the needs of their business and Kellie must then source the seafood to assist in meeting their demands in a timely base. When Kellie is not working at Tropic Fish Hawaii, she also teaches ice skating at the Ice Palace in Stadium Mall. As a youth, she competed nationally and now shares her talents and experience with the youth. When she has some spare time, she enjoys golfing and watching various sports events with friends and family.

Kellie graduated with a major in Kinesiology and Rehab Science and was employed at 24 Hour Fitness as a Personal Trainer.
