Meet Robert Wannomae
In 2002, Robert started as a sales person with an emphasis on the Japanese market as he speaks fluent proper and informal Japanese. He is currently the senior sales person and oversees the daily inventory and is considered the “go to” person for any questions within the sales department. He has a keen knowledge on both the frozen and fresh products and works diligently with the food service and retail markets.
Robert was born in Japan and moved to Hawaii when he was in kindergarten for one year. His family returned to Japan then Robert took a long journey to North Dakota during his junior high years. He returned to Japan then came back to Hawaii once again during his sophomore year at Kailua High School. After graduating, he travelled back to Japan, worked there for six years then finally moved back to Hawaii and has been here since.
Prior to being employed at TFH, Robert oversaw the “Banana Patch” off of Likelike Highway which consists of twelve acres. It was a one man operation but Robert truly enjoyed farming and working the land.
He is married to Michiko and has three children ages 14, 15 and 19.
